Welcome to reader-b8c ("App"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Description of Service

reader-b8c is a digital book reading and personal library management application. The App allows users to:

• Read digital book files
• Manage personal book libraries
• Backup and restore reading data
• Synchronize reading progress and settings

2. User Accounts and Authentication

The App may allow users to sign in using Google OAuth authentication.

• Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their Google account.
• The App does not receive or store Google account passwords.
• Access to Google services requires user authorization and consent.

3. Google Drive Integration

The App may request permission to access Google Drive for backup and file import features.

The App uses Google Drive access solely for the following purposes:

• Importing book files selected by the user
• Creating backup files generated by the App
• Restoring reading progress and settings

The App does NOT:

• Access files without user interaction
• Scan or index unrelated Google Drive content
• Store user Drive files on external developer-controlled servers

Use of Google services is also subject to Google's Terms of Service and policies.

4. User Content

Users retain full ownership of all content uploaded or imported into the App.

• Users are solely responsible for ensuring they have legal rights to any uploaded content.
• The App does not verify copyright ownership or legality of uploaded files.

5. Acceptable Use

• Use the App for illegal or unauthorized purposes
• Attempt to bypass security or authentication mechanisms
• Interfere with the operation of the App or connected services

6. Data and Privacy

Use of the App is also governed by the Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains how user data is collected, used, and protected.

7. Service Availability

The App is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation.

The App may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

8. Limitation of Liability

reader-b8c is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not responsible for:

• Data loss or corruption
• Service interruptions
• Loss of user content
• Issues caused by third-party services including Google services

9. Termination

Users may stop using the App at any time.

Users may revoke Google permissions through their Google account settings, which will prevent further access to Google data.

10. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by applicable laws without regard to conflict of law principles.
